LGV Cat C - New entrants (class 2) (Rigid Truck)
Prerequisites

Medical and provisional entitlement category C granted by DVLA

Pass theory and hazard perception test

CPC Module 2 passed (if driving professionally)
Qualification
If successful in passing your DVSA driving test you will gain a Category C licence and be able to drive a Rigid truck.
What will you learn
Class 2 driving lessons covering multiple skills and disciplines with our trained LGV instructor to enable the candidate to pass their LGV category C driving test with the DVSA driving examiner

CPC module 4
Prerequisites

Valid & current category: C or CE licence

CPC Module 2 (passed within the last 2 years)
Qualification
You will gain your first DQC (Driver Qualification Card) and as such you can now become a professional LGV driver for ‘Hire & reward’
What will you learn
-
Loading and unloading a vehicle with regard to safety rules: You will learn how to demonstrate your loading and unloading heavy vehicle skills taking into consideration all the safety rules .

Driving a heavy vehicle properly: You will learn how to prove that whether you are really an expert in driving a heavy vehicle properly.

Vehicle security and its aspects: You will learn how to show the examiner that you know all the safety aspects of a heavy vehicle. You will need to demonstrate the working of all the safety equipment as well as other vehicle tools.

Handling emergency situations: As a heavy vehicle driver, you will come across various emergency situations. You will learn how to tackle emergency situations and be able to demonstrate this in front of the examiner.

Physical check and vehicle safety check: You will learn how to show the examiner that you are physically fit and fine to drive a heavy vehicle. You should be able to demonstrate all the vehicle safety standards
